Deborah E. “Debbie” Berkley, 63, died March 20 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson. Born Feb. 29, 1952 at Salina, she was the daughter of Harold Rayfield and Doris Eleanor (Corman) Berkley.
Ms. Berkley was a Great Bend resident and an attorney. She was a member of Elks, Golden Plains Quilts of Valor which she started, CASA, and American Legion Argonne Post 180 Auxiliary, all of Great Bend. She thought of others instead of herself, helping kids through TRIO, and was always there for her daughter, helping her through school. She enjoyed quilting and loved her grandson.
Survivors include her mother, Doris Berkley, Great Bend; one daughter, Jennifer Zupfer and her husband Shawn of Vancouver, Wash.; one sister, Terri Rous of San Jose, Calif.; one grandson, Mason Zupfer; one niece, Sarah DeWhitt and her husband Steven of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and one nephew, Darren Rous of Fort Worth, Texas.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place.
