Dee Anna E. Krizek 1937 - 2014

OBERLIN — DeeAnna E. Krizek, 77, died Aug. 9 at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin. Born April 7, 1937, in Oberlin, she was the daughter of Gordon and Esther (Leitner) Rathbun. In 1955 she graduated from Decatur Community High School. On Aug. 4, 1957, she married Bennie Krizek in Oberlin. Living on the Krizek family farm north of Jennings, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Krizek was a member of the United Methodist Church, Decatur Amusement Authority and Decatur Saddle Club.
Bennie preceded DeeAnna in death on October 19, 2001. She continued to reside on their farm for several more years before moving to the Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
Survivors include two sons, David and Paula Krizek of rural Jennings, and Tony and Michele Krizek of Great Bend; one daughter Mary and Lonnie McEvoy of rural Oberlin; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Jackie Rathbun of McCook, Neb.; five grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Krizek; brother, Gary Rathbun; sister, Dixie Goltl; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Kevin Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be at Big Timber Cemetery in rural Jennings. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Big Timber Cemetery, Cedar Living Center or Donor’s Choice in care of the funeral home.
