LARNED — Delores June Clawson, 84, died Jan. 29 at Hays Medical Center, Hays. She was born June 28, 1927, at Great Bend, the daughter of Joseph and Katie Rowe Koelsch. She married Virgil M. Clawson on March 24, 1955, at Newkirk, Okla. He died on Aug. 11, 2007. A longtime resident of Larned, she was a homemaker and had worked at the Old Blue Goose and Harvest Inn restaurants.

Mrs. Clawson belonged to the Nazarene Church in Larned, and was a helper with the 4-H Home Builders Club. She also enjoyed bingo, checkers and old maids.

Survivors include two sons, Larry and wife Grace, and Virgil and wife Tia, both of Larned; four daughters, Beverly Boman and husband Glen, Rozel, Irene Hopkins and husband Maurice, Betty Ryan and husband Sam and Mary Blide and husband Brian, all of Larned; 19 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Koelsch, and four sisters, Evelyn Clawson, Katherine Clawson, Thelma Ritter and Fern Bennett.

Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday Morell Funeral Home in Larned, with Pastor Leroy Lyon presiding. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
