Denise "Dee" Beltz

Denise “Dee” Beltz, 50, peacefully passed away from this life, into eternal life with Jesus on Monday, June 8, 2015, following a valiant fight with stage four lung cancer. Her supporters carried her through the last two years of grueling radiation, chemotherapy and hundreds of tests and appointments.
Throughout her own fight with cancer, she continued to reach out to her doctors, caregivers, family, friends near and far, and others on the same journey, to encourage, uplift, and testify of God’s love. She was a daily testament of a warrior, always thanking and praising God for what he was doing.
Denise was born January 2, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Gerald and Doris Burt. She was the fifth out of six kids.
In her leisure she enjoyed traveling around the United States with her husband and best friend Chris Beltz. Dee enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, animals, volunteer work and spending time with family and friends.
She touched many lives, and many lives have been changed by her witness of constant nurturing and faith, her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around will never be forgotten.
Denise was the beloved wife of Chris Beltz; loving mother of her daughters, Katie (Ryan) French, Chrissy (Bryan) Morgan, and Kirstie (Kevin) Karnopp, sons, David and Tim Vincent; cherished grandmother to Brenden, Joseph, Myles, Madyson and Charles; brothers, Timothy, Tom and Jack and sister Patti, her sister in Christ that was a huge supporter during her fight with cancer, Teresa Price; nieces Jessica, Vanessa, and Amanda and nephew Tony; and many other nephew nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Terry Burt and her grandchild, Baby French.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heartfelt forms and random acts of kindness, from so many people. One of Dee’s quotes passed onto her from her father and now we pass it on to you ... “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the First Street Church of God located at 601 East 1st Street in Hoisington, Kan. Pastor Dick Ogle will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery located at 22 NW 50 Road Great Bend, Kansas.
Following the interment, the family welcomes you to attend DENISE’S CELEBRATION OF LIFE at the Great Bend Recreational Center from 4-6 p.m. at 1214 Stone Street in Great Bend, Kan. Messages of sympathy and support may be sent to the family at 1305 North Wilson Street Great Bend, KS 67530.
