Dennis Dean Wise

Dennis Dean Wise, 73, passed away Feb. 17, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.  He was born June 22, 1947, in Great Bend, to Harry S. and Lena (DeWerff) Wise. Dennis married Debbie Livingston Nov. 11, 1967, in Great Bend.  

Dennis, a lifetime resident of Great Bend, proudly served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Navy. He had been an employee of KMW, formally GBM, since 1971 retiring in 2018 as the loader development supervisor. Dennis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, National Street Rod Association and SRCA. Being meticulous and detailed, Dennis enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, building street rods and restoring cars, always willing and available to lend friends and family members a hand. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but above all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

Survivors include wife Debbie, of the home; one daughter Missi Amerine and husband Craig of Great Bend; two grandchildren, Kaeli Amerine and Kaeden Amerine; sister-in-law, Betty Wise of Longview, Texas; nephew, Jerry Wise and wife Jayne of Longview, Texas; and great nephew, Keenan Wise. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Wise.

There will be no viewing or visitation, as cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Sandy Kennedy presiding. Inurnment will follow at Golden Belt Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to Golden Belt Humane Society or Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
