HOISINGTON — Dennis LeRoy Boese, 72, died Nov. 30, 2021, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. He was born Sept. 20, 1949, in LaCrosse, Kan., the son of Wilbert W. and Gwendolyn M. (Norman) Boese. Dennis graduated from Hoisington High School. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the United States Marine Corps from 1967- 1969. He later decided to reenlist with the United States Army.
Dennis was a truck driver, a job he loved, often on the road anywhere from North Dakota to Texas. He most recently hauled wind turbine blades for American Wind under Denton Heavy Haulers. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3111 of Great Bend.
Survivors include three children Jimmy Boese (Marissa) of Castle Rock, Colo., Nicole Potter (Michael) of Hutchinson, and Holly Boese of Hays; a brother, David L. Boese and a sister, Diana Wilson (Richard), all of Susank; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis LeRoy Boese, Jr. and a daughter, Amy Lynn Boese.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Fisher presiding. Inurnment will follow in Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett, Kan.
