SKELLYTOWN, Texas — Diana Lynn Larkin, 55, died April 29 in Pampa, Texas. She was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Great Bend. She married Gary Larkin on Aug. 25, 1973, in Hoisington. In 1974, she graduated from Great Bend High School. She was the postmaster at Briscoe Post Office for the past 15 years and had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service for the past 25 years. She had been a resident of Skellytown, Texas, since 1979.

Mrs. Larkin was a member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Panhandle Texas. Diana loved her God, her family and her grandbabies. She was best known for being selfless in that she was always putting others first and genuinely concerned with others’ well-being and happiness. She will be greatly missed. She was active in doing community service.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Dustin Larkin and wife Tanya of Pampa, Texas, and Keith Larkin and wife Jaclyn of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, Lawrence Leon of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bobbie Leon and Robert Leon, both of Great Bend, and Richard Leon of Salina; five sisters, Juanita Clawson, Gloria Leon, and Dorothy Cannon, all of Great Bend, Carolyn Rucker of Pampa, Texas, and Eloise Leon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Brody Larkin and Sydney Larkin, both of Pampa, Texas, Mason Larkin and Baby Girl Larkin, both of Amarillo, Texas; her mother-in-law, Floy Larkin of Pampa, Texas; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sixtos and Irene Leon; two sisters, Petra Leon and Barbara Leon; two brothers, Tony Leon and Bennie Leon; and by her father-in-law, Donald K. Larkin.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church in Pampa, with the Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, and the Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
