Diana S. Wehling, 68, died Nov. 25, 2015, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. She was born April 6, 1947, at Great Bend, the daughter of Ephreum W. and Millie (Horine) Ward.
Ms. Wehling was a lifetime Great Bend resident. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo.
She was an LPN for Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She later worked for Fuller Brush and worked at Super 8 Motel.
Survivors include her companion of 31 years, Rodney Frederick of Great Bend; two sons, Jeff Rocha and wife Amy of Wichita, and Robert England and companion Misty Nichols of Hoisington; one sister, Marilyn Gilmore of Texas; one brother, Ed Ward of Chase; nine grandchildren, Chelsea Rocha, Zach Rocha, Alex Rocha, Paige Rocha, Ashtyn Rocha, Chloe Rocha, Ethan England, Connor England and Bryce Hofmeister; and one great-granddaughter, Leila Ordoyne.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Larry Dean Ward, Kenneth Ward, Lavern Ward and Leonard Ward; and five sisters, Margaret Krom, Betty Jean Ward, Hazel Turley, Beverly Partridge and Frances Brown.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Bryant Funeral Home. The Rev. Dick Ogle will officiate. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Diana Wehling Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
