Donald (Don) G. Aumiller, 87, passed away at the Hutchinson Regional Hospital Nov. 4, 2020.  Don was born July 10, 1933 in Sharon Springs, Kan. to Grant and Helen (Meis) Aumiller. Don was raised in Hays, Kan. and graduated from Hays High in 1950. He married Eleanor (Dolly) Brenton on his 19th birthday, July 10, 1952. Don worked in the oilfield most of his adult life, retiring from Pickerell Drilling as Production Superintendent after 25+ years. After retirement he enjoyed reading, helping Dolly with her antique business. golfing, and working around the house. Don was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Kingman, Kan.

Don is survived by daughter, Sheryl Cheely and son, Mike Aumiller. Both live in Great Bend. Loving grandchildren Heather Gambrell (Wayne), Ian Lofwall (Michelle), Shane Aumiller (Jamie), Darcy Aumiller, Rory Aumiller (Tiffany). Stephanie Thompson (John). Great grandchildren Elliot Malone, Willow Malone, Ciara Malone, Genevieve Gambrell, Jack Lofwall, Justine Lofwall, Gavin Aumiller, Lily Aumiller, Maddox Aumiller, Mikaylah Aumiller, Leo Aumiller and Jaxon Thompson. Also special caregivers, Cindy Shonk, Deborah Martin, Erin Williams and Peggy Brittain.  Don was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly. His daughter, Linda Sebastian. His parents, Helen and Grant and his brother, Johnny. Also his mother-in-law Genevieve Murphy who played a large role in their lives.  

A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Kingman cemetery next to his loving wife, Dolly. We will miss him a lot.
