Donald Ivil Calvert, 56, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born on June 2, 1965, at Hoisington to Donald Lee & Sylvia Esm’a (Staggs) Calvert.

Donald was a Great Bend lifetime resident. He worked for Sunflower Diversified Services at the Recycling Plant. He enjoyed bowling, WWF wrestling, and arts and crafts at the Great Bend Rec Center. Donald was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

He is survived by four brothers: Ricky Calvert of Great Bend, Chris Michael, James Michael and Steve Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tammy Cope.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, from noon to 8 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Singleton presiding. Memorials can be made to Great Bend Recreation Center, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
