Donald Knoll, 65, died July 16 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Jan. 31, 1946 at Great Bend the son of Martin and Irene (Meier) Knoll, Sr.

He was a driller for Duke Drilling, Raines & Williams Drilling Co.Mr. Knoll was a lifetime Great Bend, Kansas resident and a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina Zimmerman and husband Tim of Hays; one sister: Mary Ellen Kingston of Odessa, Texas; one brother: Richard Knoll and wife Sharon of Great Bend, two grandchildren, Nicholas Zimmerman and Samantha Zimmerman; and one niece: Robin Kopf of Alva, Okla. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Knoll, Jr., and Robert Knoll; and two sisters, Rita Decker and Cecelia Ann Schneider.

The funeral service will be at 9 a.m.Wednesday, July 20 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery North.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
