GREAT BEND — Donna M. Cape, 81, died May 31, 2012 at at her home in Great Bend.
She was born Sept. 23, 1930 at Great Bend, the daughter of Luther L. and Mabel Zona (Slaemer) Harmon.
She was a mother and homemaker as well as a dishwasher and housekeeper for the Petroleum Club, Highland Manor, and Five Oaks. Mrs. Cape was a lifetime Great Bend resident. She was an active member of CrossPoint.
Survivors include a son, Amos Cape and his wife Debbie, Wichita; five daughters, Edna Cornell, Great Bend; Kay Hlavaty and her husband Mark, Olmitz; Rita Marmie and her husband Keith, Tijeras, N.M.; Yvonne M. Cape, Great Bend; Wanda Gamboa and her husband Hector, Great Bend; a sister: Hazel Lotring, Norfolk, Conn.; a brother, Melvin Harmon, Hoisington; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Harmon, Floyd Harmon, David Harmon; and a sister, Vernita Schroeder.
A Funeral Service is scheduled at 3 p.m. Monday, June 4 at CrossPoint in Great Bend with Pastor Mike Joiner officiating. Interment will be Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 3 at Bryant Funeral Home
