ST. JOHN — Dorotha M. "Dody" Curtis, 93, died Nov. 22 in Stafford. Born Jan. 5, 1918, at St. John, she was the daughter of Nicholas E. and Mabel C. (Aleshire) Baker. She graduated from St. John High School in 1936. On Aug. 6, 1936, she married Robert George Curtis at El Reno, Okla. He preceded her in death. A lifetime resident of St. John, she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Curtis was a member of the Mormon Church in Great Bend.

Survivors include, a daughter, Janice K. Dreiling and husband Jerry, of St. John; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Curtis, of Smith Center; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Grant Curtis; three brothers, Milton, George and William; and three sisters, Chlora Davis, Mary Halley and Elsie Schulz.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at Minnis Chapel in St. John, with James Swan presiding. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m., on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Kansas CASA, in care of the funeral home.
