LARNED — Dorothy Darlene Rose, 89, died July 30, 2013, at Diverscare of Larned.
Born July 10, 1924 at Coolidge, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Florence Alexander Kern.  On March 19, 1944, she married Carl Alvin Rose at Greensburg.  He died on Jan. 12, 2011. She was a retired Psychiatric Aid at Larned State Hospital.
Mrs. Rose belonged to the Church of the Nazarene in Larned.
Survivors include two sons, David and wife Susan Rose of Salina; and Lloyd and wife Gaynell Rose of Larned; two daughters, Betty Rose and Diane Ring both of Larned; a brother, Dale Kern of Larned; five grandchildren, Christopher Rose, Brian Rose, Lindsey Rose, Heather Rose and Stacy Rose; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Thompson and William Howard Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul Kern, Wesley Kern and Charles Kern; and a sister, Ruth Marsh.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned, with Pastor Leroy Lyon presiding. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Greensburg. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned.
