Dorothy E. Dick 1926 - 2015

HALSTEAD — Dorothy E. Dick, 88, died Oct. 29, 2015, at Halstead. Born Nov. 5, 1926, in Mt. Hope, she was the daughter of Henry and Estella Blasi Rohling. On Nov. 23, 1948, she married Leonard Dick at Garden Plain. He died April 27, 2009. A longtime resident of the Zenda community, she was a homemaker and a licensed cosmetologist.
Mrs. Dick was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead. She was a former 4-H leader, and member of the EHU, D of I, and the Altar Society.
Survivors include sons David, Ronald, Dennis and Leon; daughters Carolyn Kern, Shirley Gustafson, Elaine Robinson, Betty Andrews and Joyce Holiday; brothers Norbert and Gerald; sister Margaret Ann Dick; 38 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Jane Jones; brothers Jerome and Ralph; an infant sister Ida Mae Rohling; and grandson Mathew Gustafson.
Parish rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. John Catholic Church in Zenda with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the St. John Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. on Monday at the Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman. Memorials may be made with the St. John Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.
