Duane Steinert 1947 - 2012

OLMITZ — Duane Steinert, 65, died Aug. 10, 2012 at Hays Medical Center.
Born May 21, 1947 in Russell County, he was the son of Reuben and Edna (Templing) Steinert.
On Oct. 23, 1966 he married Joleen Hester in Milberger. A lifetime resident of Milberger and Galatia, he was a retired farmer/stockman. He loved spending time with family especially his grandkids.
Mr. Steinert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia. He joined the Army National Guard in 1964 and was sent to active duty in Fort Hood, Texas in 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Joleen Steinert, of the home; a son, Darrin Steinert and wife Krista, Otis; a daughter, Shelley Fox and husband Kevin, rural Larned; a sister, Betty Barnes, Garden City; a brother, Kenneth Steinert, Garden City; and five grandchildren, Summer, Nicholas and Chance Snyder; Dalton and Kendall Steinert.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia with Pastor Adam Wutka officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Galatia.
Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or Fairview Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
