Dustin W. "Bubba" Buess, 22, died March 2 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, N.D., as the result of an automobile accident. He was born May 24, 1989, at Great Bend, the son of Rodney Wayne Buess and Stephanie Marie Morrison. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, he was a roughneck for Nomac Drilling.

 Mr.  Buess was a member of First Church of God, Hoisington.

Survivors include his father, of Great Bend; his mother, Stephanie Marie Scheuerman and her husband David of Great Bend; one daughter, Heidi Kay Jording of Great Bend; two sisters, Destiny Buess of Manhattan and Anjelica Akins of Auburn, Neb.; two brothers, Derrick Buess of Great Bend and Andrew Akins of Auburn, Neb.; paternal grandfather, Richard Buess and his wife Doris of Great Bend; paternal grandmother, Cora Jennings of Great Bend; and maternal grandparents, Dennis and Josie Morrison of Sand Springs, Okla.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 1-9 pm., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
