HOISINGTON — Edgar L. Reif, 77, died March 21. Born Nov. 1, 1933 in Hoisington, he was the son of the late Alfred A. and Clara (Polzin) Reif. A past resident of Osborne, he was the owner/operator truck driver at D & R Trucking in Pratt and Skillett Trucking in LaCrosse.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Couchman of Rozell and Mary Ann Traylor of Lexington, Kent; a son, John Reif of Grand Junction, Colo.; five sisters, Alice Snyder of Oolagah, Okla., Betty Yarnell of Osborne, Inez Vohs of Haysville, Virginia Wrench of Manhattan, and Theresa Boxum of Lebanon; four brothers, Charles Reif of Plainville, Robert Reif and Art Reif, both of Hoisington, Al Reif and Vic Reif, both of Osborne; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. Burial will be at the Osborne Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Clark-Gashaw Chapel in Osborne. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, the Osborne County Memorial Hospital or Hospice Services, all in care of the funeral home.
