Edith E. Chaloupek 1953 - 2017

STAFFORD — Edith E. Chaloupek, 64, formerly of Great Bend, passed away April 27, 2017, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born on Feb. 15, 1953, at Delray Beach, Fla., she was the daughter of Lawson Allen and Connie May (Hall) Cambron. On Dec. 18, 1977, she was united in marriage to Bert Eugene “Gene” Chaloupek in Kansas. He passed away on March 13, 2008. A resident of Stafford, for the past five years she was a homemaker.
She loved the outdoors, crocheting, and crossword puzzles, and especially loved her dog Minnie.
Mrs. Chaloupek was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include one son, Michael Schulte and his wife Robin of White Lake, Wis.; one stepson, Arlyn E. Chaloupek of Beaver, Okla.; two daughters, Mandi Desbien and her husband Matthew of Clinton, Mo., and Angie Queen and her husband Danny of Clinton, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Sheila Chaloupek of Clayton, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Hall Cambron and his wife Mimi of Coalmont, Tenn.; four sisters, Christine Creasman of Delray Beach, Fla., Linda Cambron of Florida, Norma Baine of Cleveland, Tenn., and Peggy Katherine Cox of Delray Beach, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, “Bud” Whitley Cambron; five sisters, Venita Hendrick, Cathrine Rousch, Milly Cadle, Grace Olive and Darlene Elrod; and one granddaughter in infancy.


Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 1, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery north of Great Bend with the Rev. Don Paden officiating. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Memorials may be made in care of the family for later designation.
