Edna I. (Craig) Logan Francis, 99, formerly of Claflin, died Friday, May 17 at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood.  Born Nov. 5, 1913 near Caldwell, she was the daughter of Homer Francis and Katie Elmira (Siebenthaler) Craig.  
Edna graduated from Abbyville High School in 1931, and was united in marriage to H. DeLos Logan on Dec. 15, 1935 in Caldwell. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1957.  She later married Vaughn Francis on Sept. 19, 1975 at Clayton, N.M., and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1990.  Edna worked at G & D IGA Grocery in Claflin for several years.  She was a member of the Claflin United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekahs, and Royal Neighbors of America.  Throughout her life Edna loved reading, working crossword puzzles, fishing, and she bowled into her 80s, for which she received several trophies.  She took great joy in new births, whether in her family or not.
Survivors include one son, Leslie D. (Barbara) Logan of Claflin; two daughters:  Janet K. (Don) Nily of Great Bend and E. Eileen (Harold) Straub of Russell; nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, one brother, Keith Craig and three sisters:  Irma Mae Jones, Opal Crosslin, and Dessie Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, May 21 at Charter Funerals in Great Bend. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m..  Memorials may be designated to the Scholarship Endowment Fund at Claflin United Methodist Church or Kans for Kids.  Online condolences may be left and a complete obituary notice may be viewed at http://www.charterfunerals.com/obituary/chgb.
