ELLINWOOD – Edward J. Miller, 72, died Aug. 21, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born Sept. 26, 1938, in Harper County, he was the son of Walter and Alice Trentman Miller. He graduated from Zenda High School in 1957. A longtime resident of Ellinwood, Edward was an electrician and owned Miller Electric for many years.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Great Bend.

Survivors include a son, Michael W. Miller and wife Stefanie, of Hutchinson; a daughter, Dana Hendrickson and husband Curtis, of Hutchinson; a brother, Dean Miller and wife Peggy, of Yuma, Colo.; two sisters, Marilyn Bullard and companion Larry Ward, of Arkansas, and Carol Haruf and husband Verne, of Yuma, Colo.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gale and Gerald Miller, and a sister, JoAnn MacArthur.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel in Hutchinson, with the Rev. Richard Brooks officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Attica Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in care of the mortuary.
