Elizabeth A. Pivonka 1929 - 2011

HOISINGTON — Elizabeth A. Pivonka, 82, died Nov. 29, 2011 at Country Place Senior Living in Hoisington.
She was born March 17, 1929 in Great Bend, the daughter of Ed and Rachel (Brack) Stenzel.
On July 16, 1950, she married Myron D. Pivonka in Hoisington. He died on May 25, 2005. A lifetime resident of Hoisington, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Mrs. Pivonka was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, OES UNA Chapter 119, and Cameo Club, all of Hoisington; Isis Nomads and a past member of Daughters of the Nile.
Survivors include a daughter, Myra A. Gasser and husband Don, Fort Worth, Texas; and a grandson, Nathan Gasser and wife, Phanessa, Irving, Texas. She was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Jean Weber.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hosington with the Rev. Steven Little and Rhonda Templing, PMA, officiating. Burial will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Kans for Kids, Hoisington Food Bank, or Emmanuel Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
