GREAT BEND — Emma E. Klima, 89, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family Dec. 18. She was born March 28, 1921 in Barton County, the duaghter of Joseph and Hattie K. (Houska) Sulc.

She married Dale J. Klima June 24, 1947 at Ellsworth. He died Sept. 9, 1988. She worked for First Congregational United Church of Christ as a custodian. Mrs. Klima was aLifetime Barton County resident.

Survivors include: one son, Dale C. Klima and wife Chris of Great Bend; two daughters, Marilyn J. Dunham and husband Steve of Great Bend; Judy A. Triplett and husband Ron of Great Bend; six grandchildren, Deena Smith and Stacy Sanders both of Great Bend, Kelly Klima of Derby, Danny Dunham of Des Moines, Iowa, Marcy Scheffe of Andover, Travis Triplett, of Mustang, Okla.; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene Alsup, two brothers, Leo Sulc and infant Frank Sulc, and four sisters, Eva Renc, Rosie Sulc, Hattie Avemah, and Josephine Sulc.

The funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. The officiant will be The Reverend John Grummon. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery at 1 to 9 p.m., Sunday., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home.
