Enedelia Riojas Guerrero

ELLINWOOD — Enedelia Riojas Guerrero, 64, of Ellinwood, Kan., passed away May 8, 2022, at Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colo. She was born Aug. 28, 1957, in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Miguel Riojas and Fidencia Moreno. 

Enedelia has resided in Ellinwood for many years, formerly of Chase, Kan., and Dublin, Texas. She was a homemaker. 

Enedelia was a member of the Nueva Esperanza Church of Great Bend, Kan. She enjoyed going to church, fishing, buying plants and gardening, and most of all spending time with her family. On July 7, 1978, Enedelia was united in marriage with Luis Antonio Guerrero. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2020. She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Maria Sotelo Guerrero; sister, Yolanda Riojas; brother, Juan Ignacio Riojas; grandson, Jaden Guerrero; and a granddaughter, Chassidy Guerrero. Enedelia is survived by her four children, Ariana McCrory and husband Mitchell of Chase, Kan., Ana Delacruz of Topeka, Kan., Sandra Chinchilla and husband William of Lyons, Kan., and Luis Antonio Guerrero Jr. of Ellinwood, Kan.; four brothers, Rafael Renteria, Roman Renteria, and Jose Antonio all of Ciudad Acuna Coahuila, Mexico, and Martin Renteria of Dublin, Texas; three sisters, Griselda Frausto of Eagle Pass, Texas, Sandra Morino Renteria and Angela Renteria both of Ciudad Acuna Coahuila, Mexico; 17 grandchildren, Alexis Sotelo, Jasmine Sotelo, Tiffany Sotelo, Jessica Murphy, Ismael Martinez, Hana Guerrero, Liam Guerrero, Luis Delacruz, Ana Delacruz, Viridiana Rincon Alejandra Rincon, Humberto Rincon, Carlos Rincon, Areley Rincon, Gavin McCrory, Andrea Rincon, Skye McCrory, and Liberty Delia Demler; and seven great-grandchildren, Sophia Murphy, Mireya Franco, Amiliano Franco, Mariana Burrola, Matias Ricon, Irving Campa Jr. and Arian Burrola. 

Funeral service will be at 6 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022, at Nueva Esperanza Church, Great Bend, with Pastor Reyes and Pastor Bluvan officiating. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Nueva Esperanza Church, Great Bend from 4 until service time with family present. The family suggest memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
