WILLOW SPRING, N.C. —Eric Bortz, devoted family man of Willow Spring, passed away Oct. 24, 2013. Eric was born and raised in Great Bend and moved to North Carolina in 1997. While his life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who he had touched in some small way.
Eric is survived by his wife, Shannon Bortz; sons, Chance Triston and Carson Lee; sister, Wendy Nairn of Great Bend; brothers, Aaron Bortz of Hillsborough, N.C., and Greg Bortz of Witchita. A visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 from 1- 3 p.m. at Williford Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at 11 a.m.  at the Williford Funeral Home Chapel.
