HOLLYWOOD, FLA.— Esther Dunham, 89, died Dec. 2, 2013 at Golfcrest Health Care Center, Hollywood, Fla. Born July 16, 1924 at Scottsbluff, Neb., she was the daughter of Lee Selby and Alice Butler. She married Jack Dunham June 9, 1945 at Hays, Kan. A former resident of Great Bend before moving to Florida, she was employed at J. C. Penney and the Barton County Health Department until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Dunham of Hollywood, Fla., and Janet Meyeres of Great Bend; three sons, David Dunham and Gary Dunham, both of Great Bend; and Steve Dunham and wife Marilyn of Wichita; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Jack L. Dunham; her husband Jack M. Dunham; and one brother, Charles Butler.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend, with Rev. Dick Ogle presiding. Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
