Esther L Thul, 93, passed away May 12, 2022, at Ellinwood District Hospital. She was born on October 26, 1928, at Hominy, Okla., to Ira John & Alta Mae (Parnell) Fosdick. She married Arthur N. Thul on July 29, 1944, at Dodge City.  He died May 13, 1986.

A longtime Great Bend resident, Esther was a receptionist for Centel until she retired. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, Bridge Club and the Ellinwood Bowling Team.  

Survivors include, a sister-in-law, Geraldine “Gerry” Fosdick of Great Bend and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur N. Thul; two sons, Arthur “Johnny” Thul and Franklin Thul; an infant daughter, Linda Thul; three brothers and their spouses, John Fosdick (June), J.R. Fosdick and Donald Fosdick; three sisters and their spouses, Alta Snow (Debbs), Mary Walter (Bud), Lorene Johnson (Jabe) and an infant sister, Pauline Fosdick. 

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Bryant Funeral Home, with Altar Society rosary at 4 p.m. and Vigil service with Daughters of Isabella rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Memorials have been designated to Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
