STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. — Eugene Dale Daubert, 69, passed away Oct. 11 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. He was born on July 26, 1941, in Great Bend, to Elmer and Florene Daubert. After graduating from Great Bend Senior High in 1959, he went on to obtain his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wichita and, in 1969, obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa Law School. Gene was a longtime resident of Tulsa, Okla,, before he moved to North Dakota, Montana and Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Loren Ashford, of Steamboat Springs; a son, Chris Daubert, and wife, Shannon, of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Brenda Alred and husband, Darin, of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Douglas Daubert and wife, Nicola, of Tulsa; a son, Shawn Daubert of Haywood, Calif.; brothers Larry Daubert and wife, Maurine, of Austin, Texas, Jim Daubert and wife, Vicky, of Waunakee, Wis.; sister Rosalie Christiansen of Kansas City, Kan.; brother Ray and wife, LeElda, of Kennewick, Wash.; brother Victor and wife, Michele, of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister Daphna and husband, Oscar, of Iowa City, Iowa; brother Paul and wife, Tammy, of Dallas, Texas; and seven grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Okla., on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m.
