BUSHTON — Eugene Staatz Boldt, 93, passed away peacefully at his home in rural Bushton, Sept. 2.
He was born Sept. 21, 1924 on the farm in rural Bushton. Eugene and Alnita farmed the family land throughout their life. He enjoyed time with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, lover of sports and travel. He graduated from Bushton High School with the Class of 1942. Eugene was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist church, rural Bushton.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Alnita of 65 years. They were married on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953 at the Lyons Christian Church.
Other survivors include his son, Dick Boldt and wife Barb, Oakley; their son, Travis and wife Bree and their daughter, Kinsley; and daughter Kira and husband Brian Ptacek, and their son Ethan. Daughter, Donna and husband Robin Drumm, Ponca City, Okla., their daughter Alyssa and husband Shawn Lewellyn, their daughter, Madalyn; and son, Austin Drumm. Daughter, Deanne and husband Roger Corn, Ellsworth; her son, Justin McAtee and fiance Ashley. Roger’s daughters, January Corn, Dixie and husband Bill Barrow, and sons, August and Miles. Son Dennis Boldt and wife Tracy, Hillsboro, and their sons Dillon and Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Anna Boldt; and grandchild, Mary McAtee.
A celebration of life service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at Salem United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Reazin officiating.
