Euvona “Sue” Andrews

CHASE — Euvona “Sue” Andrews, 80, of Chase, Kan., passed away May 1, 2022, at her home. She was born June 28, 1941, in rural Chase, the daughter of Claude F. and Dorothy M. Bortz Kizzar. 

Sue was a lifelong Chase resident. She attended Chase High School. Sue was an operator at Northern Natural Gas for many years. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Chase, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Sue married Elvis Lee Andrews and they later divorced. 

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; significant other of more than 30 years, Dennis Sheldon; son, Elvis Lee Andrews II; brother, Jim Kizzar; and two sisters, Claudette Kizzar Dugan and Shirley Kizzar Owen. She is survived by her two sons, Cody Andrews and Monte Joe Andrews both of Chase; brother, Frank Kizzar and wife Valerie of Jal, N.M.; and brother-in-law, Johnny Mack Owen; sister-in-law, Babe Kizzar; two grandsons, Tony Andrews and wife Jessica and Kacey Andrews both of Lyons, Kan.; four granddaughters, Michelle Mawhirter and husband Cole, Erica Baird and husband Austin of Pratt, Kan., Victoria Clark and husband Garrett of Wichita, Kan., and Ashley Weberg and husband Kyle; and 13 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Community Presbyterian Church, Chase, with Johnnie Hardie officiating. Burial will follow at the Chase Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present from 5 until 7 p.m. The family suggests memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons to help offset funeral expenses.
