ELLINWOOD — Evelyn May Miller, 80, died Sept. 27, 2011 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita.
She was born March 17, 1931 in Great Bend, the daughter of Ralph Lester Bryant and Ida Panning Bryant.
On April 9, 2011, she married Carl George Miller in Ellinwood. He died on April 10, 2011. A lifetime resident of Barton County, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Miller was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinwood; Lutheran Women’s Missionary League; the Ellinwood Ladies Quilting club; past officer in Church Youth League; and past 4-H superintendent.
Survivors include three sons, Maurice (Lila) Miller, Garden City; Keith (Connie) Miller, Great Bend; and Don (Julie) Miller, Geneseo; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Melvin, Vernon, and Ralph Orville, and Donald and Glenn Bryant; and a sister, Edith Bryant.
Funeral services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinwood with the Rev. Jeff Frakes officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kimple Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Building Fund or the Barton County 4-H Council.
