RUSH CENTER — Frances M. (Horacek) Misegadis, 91, died July 8, 2013 at Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, in LaCrosse.
Born May 3, 1922, in rural Rush County, she was the daughter of Jerry and Bessie (Kubale) Horacek. A lifelong resident of Rush County, she was a bookkeeper at the Alexander Co-op before her retirement. On April 9, 1939, she married Carl H. Misegadis at Hope Lutheran Church in rural Rush Center. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1984.
Mrs. Misegadis was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center.
Survivors include, one son, Douglas Misegadis, North Platte, Neb.; four daughters, Karla Solomon, Rush Center, Karleen Freeman and Linda Apodaca, both of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Debra Bolt, Jonesboro, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; eight brothers, Jerry Horacek, John Horacek, James Horacek, Mickey Horacek, Donnie Horacek, Frankie Horacek, Tommy Horacek, and Bobby Horacek; and one sister, Helen Williams.
Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center, with the Reverend Patricia Reep officiating. Interment will be at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Rush Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Church visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. on Friday.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice at Hays Medical Center or Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in La Crosse.
