Frank Priesner, 98, died Aug. 20, 2015, at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. He was born March 14, 1917, at Hoisington, the son of Frank and Mildred Priesner. He married Bertha M. Wells Nov. 9, 1940, at Great Bend.  She died June 17, 2008. He was warehouse manager for O’Neill Tank Company.
Mr. Priesner was a Great Bend resident since 1939, coming from Hoisington.
He was a United States Merchant Marine veteran, serving during World War II.  
He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 862, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Priesner and his wife Patsy of Grand Junction, Colo., and Roger Priesner and his wife Loretta of Bryan, Texas; one daughter, Beverly Lawyer and her husband Ronald of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six sisters, Annie, Mary, Othielda, Walberga, Emma and Cecelia.
Vigil service with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Ted Stoecklein celebrating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Prince of Peace Parish or Holy Family School Endowment Fund, in care of the funeral home.
