OAKLEY — Galyn F. Crossley, 83, died Nov. 2 in Hays. Born June 27, 1930, in Great Bend, he was the son of Arden and Darlene (Baumgartner) Crossley. On June 5, 1955, he married Naomi Ruth Gaskill in Wellington. His banking career began in Hoisington as vice president of a Hoisington bank. In 1972, he was employed at The Farmers State Bank in Oakley, where he served as senior vice president, CEO and then as president.
Mr. Crossley served in the United States Marines. He was a member of the Oakley United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #331, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2981.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Ruth; children, Glenn Crossley of Fort Morgan, Colo., Gary Crossley of Wamego; two daughters Ruth Wilso of Oakley and Brenda George of Rose Hill; a sister, Maxine Peter of Ellinwood; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 7 at the United Methodist Church in Oakley with Pastor Sheryl Johnson officiating. Burial was at the Oakley City Cemetery.
