Gary D. Dannebohm 1944 - 2011

ELLINWOOD — Gary D. Dannebohm, 67, died Sept. 1 at the Kansas Soldier’s Home in Fort Dodge. Born May 11, 1945, in Great Bend, he was the son of Stanley Dannebohm and Lillian Irene Parker Dannebohm. A longtime resident of Ellinwood, moving to the Kansas Soldier’s Home in Fort Dodge, he was a truck driver.

Mr. Dannebohm served in the United States Army for two years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellinwood.

Survivors include a son, Scott Dannebohm of South Texas; a daughter, Stacy Dannebohm of Great Bend; three brothers, Larry Dannebohm, Donald Dannebohm and Robert Dannebohm, all of Ellinwood; a sister, Marilyn Meyer and Bob of Garden City; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Kimple Funeral Chapel in Ellinwood with the Rev. Dave Wesner officiating. Burial was at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie or the Kansas Soldiers’ Home in Dodge City.
