RAYMOND – Gladys G. Boy Starr, 82, died Dec. 5 at her Raymond residence. She was born Dec. 18, 1927, at Raymond, the daughter of Adolph and Nora Marie Gordon Boy. She married H. Allison Starr Dec. 20, 1946, at Colby. He died July 3, 1981. She was a lifetime Raymond resident and a homemaker. She graduated from Raymond High School and attended Kansas State University.

Mrs. Starr was a member of Raymond Baptist Church and of the Sterling Bowling Association.

Survivors include four sons, Keith and Esther Starr of Beeville, Texas. Steven and Sue Starr of Denver City, Texas, Ronald Starr of Raymond and Danny and Karen Starr of Chase; grandchildren, Shawn and Malena Starr, Stacey Starr, Cory Starr, Travis and Lisa Starr and Kaci and Curtis Kelso; and great-grandchildren, Rylee Starr, Taylor Starr, Marcus Starr and Emma Kelso. A brother, Lawrence Boy, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Birzer Funeral Home in Sterling with the Rev. Bob Bethell officiating. Burial will be at the Raymond Hilltop Cemetery, Raymond. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Sterling, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
