NOWATA, Okla. — Glenn Arle Dean Warren, 74, of Nowata, Okla., passed away on April 25. He was born on March 9, 1940, in Arkansas, to James Arle Warren and Ida Dean (Smith) Warren. He attended high school in Hutchinson. On Dec. 13, 1974, he married Barbara Ruth Hicks in Independence. They moved to Nowata in 1997. Glenn was a truck driver logging over 3 million miles without an accident. He was an avid motorcycle rider. Glenn enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors especially at the lake and Colorado mountains. He loved watching the old westerns on television. Glenn will be missed by many friends and family.
Glen was a long time member of the Eagles Club.
Survivors include children, Randy Warren and wife Ancilla, of Carnegie, Okla., Sheryl Vincent and husband David Sheahan, of New Port Richey, Fla., Paul Hicks, of Nowata, Okla., Jim Hicks and wife Luz, of Talala, Okla., Wendell Hicks and wife Angela, of Nowata, Okla., and Vernon Hicks and wife Tracy, of Nowata, Okla.; 42 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy Proffitt, and David Leeper; many other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding Mr. Warren in death are his parents, James and Ida Warren; and children, Dorothy Vincent, Bernice Warren, Steve Vincent, Dale Warren, Susan Vincent, Scott Vincent, and Jaimie Warren.
Services for Mr. Warren will be held at 10 a.m. today at Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel, 114 W. Cherokee in Nowata, Okla. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
