Glenn Edward Moore 1922 - 2016

ALBERT — Glenn Edward Moore, 94, passed peacefully in his sleep about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2016, in Great Bend. Born March 7, 1922, at Otis, he was the son of John Henry and Katie (Diehl) Moore. On Nov. 12, 1980, he married Margaret Elaine Devine Moore at Great Bend. She died Dec. 25, 2011. A lifetime Rush Country resident, Mr. Moore was a farmer and cattleman, enjoying his cattle (most of the time). He was an avid hunter, enjoyed his cars, playing pitch and especially loved spending time with family, friends and loved ones.
He was of the United Methodist faith.
Glenn had a big spirit and personality, having a sharp mind until the time of his passing. He was making personal and business decisions and thinking of those he loved until passing on his own terms. He allowed the family precious time together, a time they will cherish. He was loved and will be deeply missed. Remember Glenn’s wit, humor and a favorite joke.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma Beadles and her husband Terry of Clarkston, Wash.; June Schneider and her husband Gerald of Great Bend, and Sharon Riggs and her husband Wayne of Littleton, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Debbie Bond, Brenda Kennedy, Gordon McAfee, April Watson, Lynn Kern, Stephanie Wofford, Timothy Riggs and Christina Kastle; three step-grandchildren, Mike Moore, Craig Moore and Shelley Hejny; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by step-son, Charlie Moore; one brother, Lester Moore; and four sisters, Betty Goodman, Mildred Spaunhurst, LaVina Marsh and infant Alice Moore.
