LARNED — Glenn N. Johnson, 90, died Jan. 22, 2012 at South Wind Hospice in Pratt.
Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Conway Springs, he was the son of Glenn Newton and Lola A. Clemmer Johnson.
On June 11, 1940, he married Olive D. Smiley in Ness City. She died June 19, 2009. He was a locksmith.
Mr. Johnson was in the United States Army and was awarded the Medal of Valor. He belonged to the United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Good Samaritan,
Survivors include a son, Robert G. Johnson and wife Dorothy, Alden, Minn.; three daughters, Sherrill D. Sallee and husband Robert, Gloria Youngdahl, Glenda Eye and husband Rod, all of Larned; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Larned with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Military Honors will be provided by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. A Memorial Graveside Service is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ash Valley Cemetery in Ash Valley.
