ST JOHN — Glenna Jean Tanner, 67, passed away Sept. 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her mother in St. John, Kan.
Glenna was born on March 18, 1951, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Glenn and Betty Pound. She was a resident of Stafford County all her life.
She married Danny Corby May 23, 1970, and to that marriage was born one daughter, Stephanie. He preceded her in death.
On May 1, 2010, she married Ronnie Tanner, and to that union Ronnie gained a stepdaughter, Stephanie, her spouse Chris, and four grandchildren, Dakota, Alyson, Hunter, and Ava. To that union Glenna gained five dogs, Daisy Mae, Sophie, Heidi, Simon and Nikki.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Tanner of the home; one daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Smith; four grandchildren, Dakota, Alyson, Hunter, and Ava Smith; one great grand dog, Screech; her mother, Betty Pound; two sisters, Twila (Jim) Hathaway, Pam (Roy) Herrenbruck; two brothers, Arnold and Terry (Cindy) Pound.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A celebration of life will take place Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at the Livery Stables in St. John, Kan., at 6:31 p.m. followed by a pot luck meal. The family asks that you bring your pop tabs to help support the Ronald McDonald House. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Wichita, Kan.
