Gloria Ann Adams, 68, passed away Dec. 6, 2020, at Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa Hospital, Wichita.  She was born February 3, 1952, in Hoisington, to Randall L. “Tony” and Winifred Lucille (Shirer) Chambers.  She married James “Jim” Adams Feb. 19, 1971, in Hoisington.  He survives.  

A lifetime resident and long-time hairdresser of Hoisington, Gloria co-owned and operated Second Street Hair Depot for 38 years, retiring in 2018.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hoisington, and past board member of Kans For Kids.  Gloria enjoyed and supported all of her grandchildren’s activities and was a passionate K-State and Hoisington Cardinal fan.

Survivors include her husband Jim of the home; one son, Paxton Adams and wife Laura of Muncie, Ind.; one daughter, Jennifer Steinert and significant other Aaron Schreiber of Beaver; four grandchildren, Taylor Adams, Maybree Adams, Cole Steinert and Chase Steinert; one brother, Mike Chambers of Hoisington; and one sister, Gwenda Deines of Hoisington.  She was preceded in passing by her parents.

Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Ron Bailey presiding.  Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.  Masks and social distancing are recommended.  Live streaming of the service can be viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.  Memorials may be given to Kans for Kids or Clara Barton Hospital Foundation, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS  67544.
