EDMOND, Okla. – Gracie Mae Gibson, 85, died April 18, 2014 at Willow Creek Nursing Home, Guthrie, Okla.
She was born April 17, 1929 at Nowata, Okla, the daughter of Ludwig “Louie” Wilhelm and Emmaline Jane (Sanders) Weber.
She married Willie Leonard Gibson Dec. 29, 1948 at Wichita. He died August 10, 1997. Mrs. Gibson was an Edmond, Okla. resident since 1991 coming from Lamar, Colo. and Tribune, Kan. The seamstress made smocks for hospital employees and underprivileged children for “U R Special.” She made her children’s clothing. She belonged to the “Time Out Club,” enjoyed Bingo, puzzles and cards. She attended the Heritage Baptist Church, Edmond, Okla. and belonged to the “Women at the Well.”  
Survivors include a son, Alan Gibson and wife Vickie, Big Piney, Wyo.; two daughters, Mary Wells and husband Harold, Edmond, Okla.; Janette Martinez and husband Phil, Littleton, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Shauna Gibson, Janelle Long, Jeff Wells and wife Brittany; Kaleb Wells and wife Julia; Tiffany Martinez, Kevin Martinez, and Joshua Gibson; six great-Grandchildren, Sara Wells, Gibson Wells, Avington Wells, Chase Long, Nevaeh Long and Skyler Long.
She was preceded in death by two sons, David William Gibson and Edward Eugene Gibson; a brother, William Weber; a sister, Margie Freeman; and by a grandson-in-law, David Long.
Graveside Service is scheduled at noon Thursday at Belpre Township Cemetery with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home.
