HOISINGTON — Gregory Alan “Greg” Bitter, 55, died Jan. 19 at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.  Born Sept. 6, 1959, he was the son of Harry and Irene (Deutsch) Bitter.
Greg married Heather Steckel March 22, 1997 at Hoisington. A farmer and independent contract pumper, he was a lifetime Hoisington area resident.
He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Hoisington, Board of Elders, and had previously served on the AGCO Board for three terms.  He loved NASCAR, hunting, and camping, and enjoyed time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Heather Bitter, of the home; his mother, Irene Bitter, Great Bend; four Children: Cole Bilbrey, Sydnie Bilbrey, Shaelynn Bitter, Trey Bitter; and one brother, Ken Bitter, Powell, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Fred Bitter.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Hoisington with Pastor Mark Lovett. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Susank.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
