LARNED — Harlan Kasselman Jr. - June 12, 1958 - Aug. 7, 2023  

Hal was the firstborn son of Harlan and Alice Kasselman. He worked 30 years for Larned State Hospital where he retired as an RN.

Hal married Leona Feb. 2, 2014, they lived on the Kasselman homestead for 39 years. They raised Julia there.

Hal loved playing Santa Claus year-round. He was the best Santa; kind, caring, loving and an amazing energy that everyone could feel.

Hal is survived by Leona Poindexter-Kasselman; daughter Julia and Sean Padilla; son Brian Kingsolver; brother Brian and Karen Kasselman; brother Joseph Alan Kasselman; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside service will be Saturday Aug. 19, 2023 at 11 a.m., at Zook Cemetery in Larned, Kan.
