Helen A. Barraclough 1929 - 1912

GREAT BEND -- Helen A. Barraclough, 83, died July 2, 2012 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Born Jan. 24, 1929, at Birdsboro, Pa., she was the daughter of George and Anna Marie (Swarmer) Fisher.  On May 18, 1957, she married Richard Barraclough at Purcell, Okla. He died Feb. 2, 1994. The couple lived in National City, Calif., before moving to Great Bend in 1968, where she held positions as a waitress for Starlite Supper Club, a clerk at K-Mart, and owned Barraclough Liquor Store.
Survivors include two daughters, Iva Hull, Hudson; and Barbara “Bobbie” Barraclough, Anchor Point, Alaska; a stepson, Seth Barraclough, Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Elsie Guldier, Reading, Pa.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son; a son-in-law, William Hull; one brother, Luther Stuffer; and one sister, Viola Doaty.
A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Great Bend Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
