WICHITA — Helen Louise Willingham, 103, died Nov. 20, 2015, at Sandpiper Bay in Wichita. She was born March 31, 1912, at Wichita, the daughter of Grant and Freda (Behrens) McNett. She married Delton “Willie” Willingham Nov. 28, 1950, at Bentonville, Arkansas. He died Aug. 12, 1989. She and Willie owned the Big Wheel Drive-In for 15 years.
Mrs. Willingham was a Wichita resident for 22 years, coming from Great Bend. She was a former member of First Church of the Nazarene, Great Bend. She converted to the Roman Catholic faith following her relocation to Wichita.
Survivors include one son, Kenny Rogers and his wife Kelly of Dallas, Texas; one daughter: Darla Schrader of Wichita; four grandchildren, Daryn Kinsinger and his wife Mary Lou, Delisa Willcut-Loeffelholz and her husband Mark, Delton Rogers, and Kendra Rogers-Rezek and her husband Mike; five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at the Great Bend Cemetery in Great Bend with Father Ted Stoecklein, officiant. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time, with the family receiving friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Monday at Bryant Funeral Home.
