Helen V. Baldwin, 88, died June 27 at her home in Great Bend. Born Sept. 11, 1922 at her home in Ansley, Neb., she was the daughter of Fred and Anna (Mattox) Niedt. On April 26, 1943 she married Leon W. Baldwin. He died May 30, 1971. A resident of Great Bend since 2004, coming from Twin Falls, Idaho, she worked in aircraft manufacturing, the Tupperware Factory, and was a farm wife.
Survivors include a son, Fred Baldwin and wife Debbie of Redmond, Ore.; three daughters, Dee Anne Grummon and husband John of Great Bend, Nona Ritchie and husband Dan of Meridian, Idaho and Marcia Baldwin and husband Gary Leegate of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Estie Niedt; and a sister, Nola Farmer.
