U.S. FLAGHenry C. ‘Hank’ VetteCOLBY — Henry C. “Hank” Vette, 89, of Colby, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Hays Medical Center.He was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Levant, Kansas, to Henry D. and Edith (Atkins) Vette.Hank married Eileen Eddy on Dec. 25, 1947, in Osborne. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in WWII and the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He owned Vette Appliance, was a manager at the Case dealership and spent 31 years working for Ford-New Holland as a zone manager. Hank enjoyed wood working, repairing and refinishing furniture and was active in restoring the Cooper Barn.
