GREAT BEND - Howard Michael “Mike” Boys, 72, passed away June 4, 2020, at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. He was born on April 15, 1948, at Shelbyville, Ill., to Richard and Nixie (Smith) Boys. He married Jolene Sellens on March 8, 1969, at Hoisington. She survives. 

A current Great Bend resident, Mike was an insurance agent for 25 years. He was a graduate of Hoisington High School and attended Pittsburgh State University.  

Survivors include, his wife, Jolene Boys of the home; two sons, Gregory Boys of Great Bend, and Christopher Boys and wife Dalila of Dodge City; two sisters, Sandra Daughtery and husband Larry of Russell, and Terry Perry and husband Rick of Benton; and three grandchildren, Caleb, Conner, and Camila. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Cremation will take place after visitation and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Live Like Jesus Today Ministries or Central Kansas Dream Center,  in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
