LARNED — Ida Kathryn Yeager, 86, passed away Aug. 12, 2018 at Country Living of Larned Memory Care.
She was born June 2, 1932, at Rozel, the daughter of Carl A. and Dora Ruth Howell Carlson. A lifetime area resident, she was a secretary at the Larned State Hospital and retired from there.
She was a member of the Larned United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Santa Fe Trail Wet and Dry Routes Chapter and Fort Larned Historical Society, all of Larned. She enjoyed caring for people, bowling and latch hook.
On July 4, 1950, she married Mildon Lee Yeager in Larned. He survives.
Other survivors include: son, Rick (Rose) Yeager, Great Bend; two daughters, Kathy Jadwin, Larned, Rebecca (Bob) Sharp, Lindsay, Texas; son-in-law, Allen Case, Clearwater; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Ida Lea Case.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary. Inurnment will be at a later date.
